I am honestly obsessed with commercial studio photography! Always have been, always will be! I shoot people, products, beauty, fashion, food and drinks for advertising agencies, corporate clients and entrepreneurs.
The best campaigns are a team effort with everyone bringing their 'A' game, pushing our collective skills and ideas forward to create new and dynamic images.
I started off as a second and then first assistant to Angus Thompson, a great advertising photographer in his studio just off Oxford Street in London, in the heart of the advertising world in Soho.
I learnt how to shoot everything from diamonds for Garrads, men's accessories for Dunhill and beauty models for Revlon. How to deal with clients, follow creative briefs, and meet deadlines.
At first everything was shot on transparency film from Hasselblad 6"x6" all the way up to Sinar 10"x8". We had to polaroid proof everything, run the film across to the lab, and still wait two hours to get it back to be sure that we really got the shots! It was the best grounding for everything I do. Then digital upped our game and things got really fast and exciting!
After that I ran my own studio near London's Tower Bridge, shooting for hair, beauty, fashion and jewelry clients, before finally moving back home to the T&T sunshine to defrost!
​I am now based in my own Port of Spain studio, but I also shoot on location or use the great local rental studios for any larger scale productions.

My fullframe cameras give digital files that can easily go up to sharp billboards, and studio lights mean we can create any ambiance we want, night or day, indoors or out! And by always shooting tethered to my laptop, you can see your images on screen in real time as we shoot, wherever we are.
​
Some of the images you see here are composites, done either by myself or the ad agencies. So if we can't create the image directly in camera, we can shoot all the elements to make up that perfect final image. I also do all the retouching on non-agency images.
I do try my best to keep my Instagram updated with recent commercial and personal work, but shoots take priority.
